A Donor Bill of Rights
Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the
common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary
to the quality of life. To assure that philanthropy merits the
respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective
donors have full confidence in the nonprofit organizations and
causes they are asked to support, Somerset County United Way honors

21st Century Fund
Gifts to the 21st Century Fund will enable Somerset
County United Way to continue its mission of caring for years
to come, ensuring a bright future for the people of Somerset County.
Gifts to the fund, including financial donations, donations of
stocks or bonds, grants and bequests, will help to grow a permanent
fund that will one day provide financial support to projects and
initiatives in the realm of health and human services:
- Aiding the start-up of new programs to address emerging needs
- Addressing emergency needs arising from natural disasters
or economic conditions
- Providing venture grants
- Safeguarding against fluctuations in United Way's annual
campaign
